About Our Organization

Who We Are

The Holistic Down Syndrome Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to educating and empowering families of those with Down Syndrome to be informed in their health choices. Our organization was founded in May of 2018 by the Orozco family inspired by the birth of their third child, who was born with that extra special chromosome. Being natural healthcare providers seeing positive outcomes in both personal and clinical settings, they felt compelled to further study the positive effects a holistic approach to health can have on the Down Syndrome population.

We firmly believe in our core principles and feel that we can bring a unique perspective to the development of our children. Our programs and events were designed to educate, encourage and empower families of those with and without Down Syndrome.

We believe that anything is possible for our kids and we hope to inspire families to include a holistic healing approach for their children.

Our Mission

To enhance the lives of children diagnosed with Down Syndrome and to advocate for holistic healing methods for these amazing individuals through clinical research, public education, family support, and community service.

Our Vision

That all families with a child born with Down Syndrome have access to holistic health information and services.

Our Core Principle

Holism (ho·lism/ˈhōlˌizəm):

Is the principle that bodily systems (i.e., structural,  physiological, biochemical, social, mental, linguistic, etc.) and their properties should be viewed as a whole working and functioning mechanism, not just as a collection of their parts.
